EURENSSA 2015 Team

Lena Schinkel
Master student at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ). Lena studies Environmental Toxicology and is currently writing her master thesis. In her master thesis she deals with the analysis of pesticides in aquatic sediments. Besides organising EURENSSA 2015 she voluntarily works for Greenpeace.
Anna-Jorina Wicht
Master student at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) Leipzig.
Anna-Jorina is interested in the environmatal fate of substances and analytical possibilities to detect pollutants in the environment. She studied chemistry with the focus on analytical and organic chemistry and Ecotoxicology. In her master thesis she is investigating pollutants in aquatic invertebrates.
Irina Becker
Master student at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) Leipzig.
After her B.Sc. studies in "Ecosystem Management" Irina chose an informatics focus of the forestry masters programme in Goettingen called "Ecosystem Analysis and Modeling". For her master's thesis she moved to Leipzig to work at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in the department "Computational Landscape Ecology" (CLE) with hyperspectral remote sensing data. At the moment Irina is looking forward to her trip to Australia and afterwards to EURENSSA 2015.
Liza-Marie Beckers
PhD student at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) Leipzig.
After her Master's in environmental science Liza-Marie is presently working on her PhD. She is studying environmental pollutants in aquatic ecosystems. This includes unravelling drivers of chemical stressors in small rivers and the identification of emerging pollutants.
Matthias Schmidt
Scientist at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) Leipzig.
Matthias studied physics and is now responsable for electron and helium-ion microscopy at the ProVIS centre for chemical microscopy at the UFZ. Matthias is interested in the visualisation of biological geochemical processes on a microscopic scale.
Ruth Wache
Volunteer at the EURENSSA meeting.
